La ora bilanțului, cea de-a 5-a ediție a turneului Dracula Open, s-a dovedit un real succes. Organizată la Ploiești, cu sprijinul oficialităților locale și al CSM Ploiești, competiția și-a reconfirmat pentru a 5-a oară consecutiv statutul de ”cea mai mare competiție de box non-elite”, din Europa. Peste 500 de sportivi, din 18 țări, au urcat pe ringurile de la Sala Olimpic din Ploiești, pe parcursul celor 6 zile intense de competiție. A fost un record și în ceea ce privește participarea românească, 221 de pugiliști români, luând contactul cu boxul de nivel mondial.
Dracula Open 2026 a consacrat statutul de competiție ”Gold”, conform evaluării World Boxing și crește de la un an la altul.
Bilanțul delegației României a fost unul impresionant:
- U15 – masculin – 25 medalii: Aur – 5 medalii, Argint – 9 medalii, Bronz – 11 medalii;
- U15 – feminin – 8 medalii: Aur – 1 medalie, Argint – 4 medalii, Bronz – 3 medalii;
- U17 – masculin – 10 medalii: Aur – 1 medalie, Bronz – 9 medalii;
- U17 – feminin – 19 medalii: Aur – 6 medalii, Argint – 6 medalii, Bronz – 7 medalii;
- U19 – masculin – 17 medalii: Aur – 4 medalii, Argint – 6 medalii, Bronz – 7 medalii;
- U19 – feminin – 12 medalii: Aur – 2 medalii, Argint – 5 medalii, Bronz – 5 medalii;
Mulțumiri speciale și Filarmonicii Ploiești, pentru spectacolul vizual asigurat și Rebel Show pentru momentele incendiare de dans popular reinterpretat, Primăriei Municipiului Ploiești și dlui Primar Mihai Laurențiu Polițeanu, pentru susținerea sportului românesc și clubului CSM Ploiești și maestrului Titi Tudor, pentru implicarea totală în reușita acestui eveniment. Federația Română de Box împarte cu recunoștință către toți aceștia aprecierile delegațiilor străine participante la acest eveniment de referință pentru boxul nostru.
